im having trouble with the pre heat light not always lighting up, and then the truck not start.

could it be as simple as replacing the glow plugs, or is it more likely an electrical fault some where? :?

Hiya Ben :)

Sonds like the glow plug relay to me (if your truck has such a thing) same happened to me on Snowy turned out to be 3 fubard glow plugs & a fubard relay :( Probably best to replace the plugs @ the same time but they are easy to test just remove & connect to a battery if they glow red all OK if not fubard :) All of that said though do check all of the associated wiring for good condition & electrical conection before opening your wallet

Oh &in the mean time get yourself a can of Start You Bastard :D

thanks Steven.

i will check all the wiring, but i think i will change all the glow plugs and relay.

just need to find some where that sells the relays. milners sell the glow plugs, but dont list the relay.
