I'm pleased to report that it's driving very well too. Feels pretty good. Great in the corners. Brakes could be a little sharper then with the weight, I am not surprised. Probably going to eat pads. I'd like a proper made exhaust rather then the Frankentube I have on it. Side steps are next big item. I just need some time and fine weather and they'll be done.

Got some more storage ideas to come and if we could get some of those gull wing rear windows, I'd be made up.

Well it's on Fraser build actually and Stan has already said he'd sort something. Not heard anything more, but frankly as long as I get mine I don't care how we do it ha ha. Chas said he wanted some too. Yes let's not turn this into thread about gull wings, I have done pretty well so far keeping it on track. We need someone on the ground there.

Speedo correction module just arrived. Got stung an extra £35 import. Bastards. But OK at £170 in all, it's still worth it in respect of my time. And it will always go on another vehicle. It came nicely packaged with loads of stickers and a Stubby holder which is a nice touch.

How much is needed in each tyre Chris? obviously it will depend on tyre size, but can you give a rough estimate for 33" tyres?

It's doesn't depend hugely on the tyre Chas, a hole is a hole. But I buy 4 x 1250 ml bottles and put a litre out of each in the road tyres and then all the 250mls spare go in the errr spare. Done. Very quick and easy, no mess and it will balance the tyre as it wears like Dyna beads. People can say all they like, but I have been using this since forever and never had a puncture, lost air, had balance issues or anything ever. Only benefits. I wish I'd bought a drum of it when I started all those years ago. It's in everything I have even trailers and quad bike.

Do you have TPMS on this one Chris? If so has the OKO interfered with the sensors at all?

I do and no it hasn't. The TPMS is an 'on the valve' stem system rather than inside the tyre. As the goo can't actually escape out of the valve stem, it doesn't affect the accuracy. However, it does say if you have an internal TPMS, some CAN be affected.

Cheers Ben. Like all things, if I could source tube in that size cut to length all I'd have to do is thread one end, cut the original rod, thread the other end and pretty much that would be it. Oh and source some 30mm nuts. But taking a blank and boring the hole down the centre is a morning's work and a couple of tips too. Same with the rear ones. Strong adjustable PH rods would be a nice thing to be able to produce for people but the time taken would be prohibitive.

Chris, after cutting, did you remove any length from either end of the panhard rod?

Err, no - I was trying to make it longer? Why so you ask? You after an off cut for something? I wanted to be able to return the rod to standard length if I ever needed to. Obviously I had to face up the cuts so I will have lost some metal, but not that I could put in the post for you.

The problem I had was that whilst the rear straight one would fit through the head stock, the damn front curly one wouldn't so I couldn't reverse cut the thread. It's a tonne of work for half an inch. Oooer Matron. If I did another, I'd cut it, add 20 mm and weld it back up. Adjustable PH rods are a con.

Edit. Actually thinking back, I might have cut a small section out of the rear one. This allowed me to return to the original length. Probably 20mm? I don't' store all this stuff. It's a blur then it sodding Monday again
