Can anyone recommend an 80 specialist garage around north Norfolk / Lincs area ? My truck needs a good welder and TLC from some someone who cares and knows these trucks.

Have you asked around your local area for someone with a good rep for general underbody repairs. I realise that, for some reason, some garage service businesses are reluctant to get involved with these older vehicles.

Hate to say it but your far more likely to find a landrover specialist nearby and i have never met one who didn't drool over my landcruiser . They should be good at welding

Might be 2 hours or more away from you ? but i just remembered a landrover specialist around the corner from the Krown rustproofing place , one on the ramp for Dinitrol treatment was a top notch full leather interior Defender - all fitted by them .

The owner of the place almost shed a tear while telling me he had to sell his 80 because its just not right owning such a place and driving a Toyota .

I will take a punt that this is the place because i just found the card in my bedside drawer which doesn't give location either . I will hazard a guess its because they keep costs down by using a workshop rather than a showroom .

Hi. Yeah I use a guy up here for my welding and bodywork. He is very good and reasonably priced but..... his timescale on jobs is terrible. You really need to make firm arrangements with him or it just goes on and on. Dropped my hilux in end of September asked him to fix a break issue. I only got it back 10 days ago.
