Red V5

Has anyone else got a "new red V5" in the post?

I got one for the 120 along with a small pamphlet explaining that this is my new red one and that everyone will be getting one. No real reason as to why red is better.

I've not got one for the other cars though

If they wanted to waste money, I suspect they just found a brilliant way.

Yup, have received new V5s for our vehicles recently...

Me too, apparently someone stole a load of the blank blue forms and DVLA are sending out the red ones to every one to prevent fraud... The red ones replace the old ones.

I have three cars and two motorcycles.

Some, but not all, of the V5s have been replaced to date.

It seems to be a slow process.

Yes, received the red one for the Yaris about 6 months ago - still waiting for the Cruiser's one though......

yes it's the red 1,but i am little bit confused as the document clearly states that it is not proof of ownership,so do you have to carry your receipt of the sale with you? specially when you are crossing the borders.
Did the old document have the same wording on the front?

The old blue colour one's had exactly the same wording.
