Hello all,
Looking to buy an 80 series, ideally with leather seats - however these seem to either be very sparse, or very expensive.

Has anyone retrofitted the leather seats? If so, is all the wiring there for the electrics?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

We retrofitted a leather interior to a UK spec '93 VX which had cloth and the wiring was there - everything worked. Be warned it might well be different on a pre August '92 car or a grey import...

Best of luck,

Thanks Toby,
Did it all fit straight in then on the same mounting points? Would be great if it did, however finding a set of leather would probably be as hard as finding a decent cruiser at a decent price!

Did pre '92's not come with leather? If the wiring isnt going to be there there then that might scupper my plans....

Hi Paul,I've a 95 GS which has had leather retro fitted. AFAICS all the wiring is already there for seat motors and heated seat switches. You need a pair of heated seat switches as well.
I dont know about cloth seats out of a VX, I assume they are heated and electric but I dont Know.
Karl Wester will know better than me, he breaks them.
