A couple of friends of mine finally arrived home after a scary incident prior to taking off. Pushed off the stand, pulled back again, doors flung open, ground staff and maintenance swarming all over the plane. Delayed for 2 hours while they repair the brakes. Rather a bumpy landing and aggressive manual use of brakes as the captain had informed us he would have to do on arrival. Before take off they overheard a lovely comment from two ladies who were having a conversation re: plane fault and one said "Well we don't need them until we land, so what's the problem why can't we take off?"
