The AHC was already removed when I got my 100series and while replacing timing belt water pump and intake clean up I fitted standard pedders suspension kit as there was much rust on springs and shocks…etc
I now find the ride height to be too high for my liking! I’m wondering if it will settle after driving(car is on SORN) it’s actually about 860mm on 16inch wheels.
Did I get the wrong kit?? How can I lower this to the 775mm I want?
The car has not been driven since i fitted the pedders springs and shocks
Engine now running well
Any advice and info wellcome

I am also wondering if worthwhile to remove spheres and now non functional AHC bits and pieces which previous owner left in situ.??

Where have you measured the ride height?
I'm also considering new springs (80 series) and looked at the Pedders "Standard, uprated" springs on Roughtrax which give the ride heights for both 80 and 100 series, measured from the bottom of the wheel rim to the wheel arch as follows:

16" rims = 775 mm
17" rims = 787 mm
18" rims = 800 mm

I have 16" rims and that measurement is over 2" higher than it currently sits which would be too high IMO and higher than the original ride height.

Did you fit these springs?

On the old AHC bits, if they're no longer working or required, get rid of them.

Yes I did fit them myself !
Measured correctly too! Don’t understand where this extra height is from? I did a thorough fitting as it was difficult working on my own so took time to check everything over and over! I’m aware of the stated measurements
What to check?

My question was, did you fit these springs, not, did you fit these springs.

The Pedders info given on ride height is when measured as stated, from the rim bottom and are +/- 10mm. The measurements you have given look more like they're measured from the ground.

Measuring is from ground to arch. Even with a little low air pressure still way out !

I measured the rear height from the ground to arch at 857mm with 26yr old springs that have sagged a little so your similar measurement of 860 doesn't sound too high to me. My 80 has the plastic arch flares so the height to the steel body will be a few mm higher.

Couldn’t wait!
Rear. Rim to arch 790mm. Centre to arch 580mm
Front Rim to arch 770mm. Centre to arch 550
As I said will inspect all suspension tomorrow….. car doesn’t look right to me now!
