Scuttle sorrow

Hi, I was looking for some advice. I’ve got an ‘83 HJ60 that I’ve had for a few years now. It’s lovely and has never let me down so I’m rewarding it with a repay. Whilst it’s in for this I thought I’d try and finally sort the leaks into the footwells. They’re coming through the vents below the windscreen and through two severely rust ridden spots in the scuttle panel towards the wings.
I was just wondering if this was a common problem and if anyone had had any luck sorting it?
To get into it I’d have to remove the windscreen and pull the engine out too possibly.

Glad you mentioned it. Have the same problem with my LJ70. Been trying to get at it for the last year. With my limited knowledge, I'm farming this one out. I shudder to think what they're going to find. Will definitely follow this conversation up.
