Steering wheel grates

I have a noisy/slight play in the steering. It certainly grates so stripped it to take a look. There is a horn contact/brass ring behind my non airbag wheel which I simply cleaned and greased... all sorted now as quiet as a mouse and no play in the steering... I'm sure you experienced 80 guys new that anyway but another little job ticked off lol....

Mines non-airbag too and had it off the spline the other day (for different reasons) but it's never made any grating noises.

At least now, if it does, I'll have an idea what it may be

Yep BTDT, came and went for months until I sorted it.
