Tonight on my way for a diesel fill up I cut a corner on a turn and drove over a small bollard about 18" high and ended up perched on top of it because it was jammed between the roll bar and the gearbox and it pulled off the bash plate. The front nearside ally rim got dented and the tyre got rather flat but only at the bottom. I tried locking the diffs but with no grip it wouldn't move plus the top of the cone shaped bollard was wedged. The nearside wheels were lifted to high for the tyres to get a good grip.
I had to call the breakdown boys who placed my now flat spare wheel with a plate on either side to make a ramp up over the wheel and down which cleared me. No other damage seems to have been done, I'll give it a proper inspection in the morning. Can dented allys be repaired?
