Switch illumination

I am going to assume that the tiny little bulbs that illuminate the dash switches are only available through MrT?
Or are they available elsewhere?

Does anyone have the part numbers...the ariel up/down switch has smaller ones than the others.

I replaced most of mine by just going to Maplins.

They tricky to get out but an easy job there after.

Just take the switch out and you will see a tiny round plastic dial with an X on it. That twists and the bulb comes out.

These are the one you want .... available through Maplins. its the yellow ones you need. Very easy to replace and install.

Do they actually pull out of the bulb housing ?

In theory you unwind them and they come off the plastic bit and then put the new one on. Its very simple.

When you twist the new bulb on the plastic back in the ends of the bulb are pressed up and make contact with small metal tabs to get power.

Thanks lads. Just undid the wire ends of the bulb and they fell out.
Brilliant, I thought they were all in one, and you had to replace the whole lot...thanks again, feel a trip to maplins coming on.

Handy stuff lads, I just counted five switch lights out, only the useless switches (antenna, suspension mode) seem to be illuminated

Bulbs arrived yesterday, fitted to some switches..just need to find out which others arn't working and replace them now..

They are complete replacements, the actual bulb part can be removed and replaced, very easily.
The bulb holder is re-usable.
