Timing belt light reset

Hi all,
I just changed the timing belt on my 79R double cabin land cruiser and tried to reset the timing light. I set it to ODO, switched off then kept pressed the speedo button and switched on. After 5 seconds I released and pressed again the button. Sadly no matter what I do I cannot get the meter to show 15 as per instruction I read on the web.
Can anyone help?

Hi John,
Try the same procedure only start on TRIP B in stead of ODO.

On my 2011 TLC hzj 76 works .
