I bought my 2006 120 in 2008 with 11,000 miles on the clock. It's never missed a beat but it's always sounded like that. I wonder why it's so noisy?

I'm thinking it's a leak from a connection or a hole in a pipe or hose.

Does the crank breather on that engine return to the intake just before the turbo ?

If it were disconnected or damaged that might explain the noise and it would not effect performance .

My mate's D4D Hilux with the cat removed sounds like his,going to investigate my 120 today

No whistle leaks or oil weeps. Guess I'll keep on living with it,18 years on...
