Chinese village of Zhouzhouang, is aptly named the "Water village".
Essentially there are no roads, no bicycles, no cars, just boats, and just "people power boats"
I didn't see a single boat with an engine on, which is kind of refreshing, and adds to the tranquility of the place.
This village is about 1000 years old.
Again, very beautiful, and really just "one of a kind"
Make your mind up, here are the pictures.
.
The "Detail board"
.
It used to be an inland island, until a recent bridge was constructed.
.
That is a restaurant where we had lunch just to the right.
.
.
There is another restaurant on the upstairs to the building behind the arch bridge.
.
This is teh transport for all.
.
Small narrow walk ways, lined with flowering trees.
.
.
.
Just had to put ourselves up for the cruise.
.
The still quiet waters.
.
Tranquility.
.
A little girl was also passenger on our boat with her mother.
.
The central square.
.
Some of the beautiful gardens backing onto the waterways.
.
Hope you liked them.
