I had new style folding keys made for my 99 Collie and followed the sequence below but found out that every vehicle has a master and valet key. Using a valet key to pair new keys did not work and it has to be a master which fortunately...
After market parts for the 90/95 series don't have the same availability as many of the other LC models. Sometimes easier to obtain 2nd hand parts or get bespoke made.
Engine was from a Surf KNZ185 which is identical to the 1KZ but for whatever reason Toyota handed it different. I managed to get one eventually. Which is shorter and shapes to suit the ancillaries.
Welcome BB. I managed to find one for my Collie through FB marketplace but beware there are quite a few scammers out there. An alternate that I've used is Nayab Akbar (FB forum 'Toyota LandCruiser Source UK, Ireland and Europe') but can be expensive!
Cheers Bert, that info and photo are really helpful. Guessed there might be some 'other' mods required. Looks like the trusty dremel and a few big tools might be required!
