No news....are we to take it that means good times are being had?

Wish I was there

Did Keith manage to get the exhaust re-done ?

Did he hook up with the guys later on ?

Graham

Yes Keith made it around 2pm. We did a short lane together and then I left for home. I was not man enough to camp for a second night! All was going well. Karl lost an entire side step and the other fell off in his hand and before we even started Chris had a leak in his power steering pipe but was soon rectified and once 5 x 1 litre bottles of locally sourced (by Gav) Auto fluid was poured though a plastic wine glass we were on our way. Good luck top them all today!

Camping was great by the way.

I forgot my camera so I only have a few pics from my phone.

So what's the buzz, guys? We're all waiting for an update ;) Got a text from Gav suggesting it was eventful...

It was very very eventful andrew. You know us and these little get togethers. Always a story or ten to tell..............

And again a big thanks to jon for organising it. Really enjoyed it again. Nice to meet up with the same faces and others as always. I will post my few pics soon.

Jonnie, Where are the vids

karl

Slight mistype on the power steering pump leak there Jonnie, it was actually my transmission cooler pipe that ruptured spewing about 7 lts of ATF out onto the road. A little more than a leak I think. Other than that, I don't think much else happened. Pretty uneventful trip

OR WAS IT.........

cut the cr@p guys - we all want to know!!! Need pics.

Chrispin next time get your ass there with us. We could do with some pro s showing us how its done ;)

Lads, gotta go - sh!t going on here - sorry...

Well that was quite an epic weekend considering it was just a trip to Wales but it might take a while for the full story to be told. I need to spend some time with the user manual for my camera because the auto setting is getting it wrong more often than it gets it right but here's what I have and a little bit of the story.

Gav was first on the scene Friday night and getting a bit worried he might have unwanted visitors until I turned up followed not long after by the others. It was a wet and windy night but we got a nice fire going etc. Gav was our alarm clock in the morning clonking about reminding us we were supposed to be meeting Keith at 9am so it was a dark but mostly dry start:

My experimental mod for the door flap on my new tent worked a treat:

We had a call from Keith on route who was still having exhaust problems and would meet us later. We'd only got as far as just the other side of Machynlleth when Chris noticed he was having gearbox problems and we had to pull over to have a look:

IMG_1737.JPG

An ATF cooler pipe had split spilling most of his ATF :( but the split part was cut off and new ATF that Gav fetched went in and we were on our way again:

Jonnie left us after that lane and the rest of us went back round the coast road to Talybont and then into the lanes around Nant-y-moch. It was too dark for photos by this time (at least for my camera) but I much fun was had I think  We finished up at the visitors centre just west of Ponterwyd again and motored down to Strata to camp for the night where things got a bit interesting but more on that later.

After a bit of too'ing and fro'ing in the morning we carried on along Strata:

then we went up to the lane below the dam on Claerwyen and stopped to look at the overflowing dam again:

Then as we were making our way along the lane a big plane flew quite low overhead. By the time I'd stopped, got the camera sorted etc this was the best I could get:

IMG_1857.JPG

and then it was the end of the lane and our trip:

but we seem to be missing someone ...
