V belt adjustment

Hi all,

I want to tighten my v belts as they are deflecting a bit when idle.
The photo below is looking from the bottom of the car UP. I can see the lock bolt and adjustment bolt, the pivot bolt must be at the top of the alternator? Red arrow is direction where the alternator need to move to tighten the belt.

So long as they are both not corroded, it all works.

I loosened the lower bolt as well to allow the adjustable arm to flex a little as likely there is some corrosion.

Thanks. You mean the lower bolt of the sliding bracket? Which runs all the way down to top of the oil pan.
