    76 series door pods

I ended up fitting a double din android unit and getting a wiring harness adapter for Toyota and everything worked great, electric aerial and everything. Managed to use the existing brackets but had to clearance the black dash panel.

    76 series door pods

Cheers, yeah very close to factory finish. The fronts I only had to cut the door card for the speaker magnet and re route the cabling slightly but the rear I've had to cut a small section out the door to clearance the larger 6x9 speaker. Takes time as I like to make sure all the metal cuttings...

    76 series door pods

I've been wanting a set of these for a while and bought some from cruiser consoles in Australia who shipped these over for me. They take abit of fitting which is more to do with the wiring making sure it looks factory but the quality of these pods is amazing. Only someone familiar with 70...

    Transfer / Gearbox Breathers

Thanks Chris, i thought id seen an access hatch going into the cab last time i was under there. Would need to pull the carpet up but still not bad if my minds geared up for it and could fit more sound deadening lol. I think the cross member might be more work since the side rails are mounted on...

    Transfer / Gearbox Breathers

Hi folks, I bought a breather kit for my 2015 76 series and fitted the front and rear diff breather hoses fine but struggling to access the gearbox/transfer connections. I think the factory transfer hose is linked to the gearbox but access looks impossible. How do folk normally fit these kits...

    Scott's VDJ79

That's interesting to know that they ship to the UK. Even just to get some Toyota accessories like mats etc . Oh btw if you need interior parts try cruiser consoles in Queensland, I'm waiting on speaker door pods arriving this week. As you'll know , the stock speakers are absolutely crap. Mike...

    Scott's VDJ79

Interesting to read about this, my 76 5th gear is stupidly short as well and was thinking about the new box upgrade. I think the vdj box is the same as my grj , H151 and the latest are H152 I think. Do you mind me asking who you bought it through in Australia?

    Scott's VDJ79

Nice, i used the same stuff for inside my doors and rear quarter panels which made a big difference. Seen folk dropping the headlining and doing the roof as well but more work and risk of damage.

    Ironman side rails and steps

Cool cheers, This is my only beetle since 97 but it stays roadworthy. Spent some time late last year fitting an electric fuel pump, new fuel line , drop links and ball joints. Still to buy tyres for the new stock banded steels I bought . Fancied a change. It's a never ending project. 2008 I...

    Ironman side rails and steps

They're proper solid bits of kit and I love the look of them against the white bodywork. The bush rail tubular are strong enough to stand on so I'm sure they will do their job. The side steps are fairly easy to install , just make sure you get a jack under the chassis cross member as they share...

These 60's are growing on me

See alot of nice work on cruisers in Australia, Shauno's dirty 30 rebuild from 4wd action is another decent build although far from factory lol. Jon Rooths 40's are great looking things as well. Gonna have to immigrate and have a fleet of cruisers

    60 restoration update

It was probably the best part about the monaro to be fair lol. Look forward to seeing the progress on the cruiser, it's going to look great in the factory colour.

    60 restoration update

Nice , dodge charger? I'm not to clued up on american muscle cars or is it MOPAR. Not sure lol. I'm sure the V8 will have plenty presence about it. I used to own a monaro with the 5.7 LS1 which used to shake the car.

    60 restoration update

Nice one, my 72 bug hasn't moved much this year. Just got it running on all four cylinders then lockdown happened lol

Certainly spent some cash on this one. I like them because they really are a rare sight these days, never driven one but surely cant be less comfy than a 76

    Ikamper top tents

On the ikamper, it's only a third of the floor that folds over so there's more room at the back for bedding. Sounds like your on your way to sorting yours though with the spacers.

Ahh No , nothing will fall out, it's kept inside the tent but tucked away at the hinge side of the hardshell.

    Ikamper top tents

I believe you can leave sleeping bags and pillows in as long as they are pushed well back into the hardshell area and kept fairly flat. I'll give it a go next time I have the tent up.

Finally mounted the new tent last weekend just in time for lockdown ☹️ Anyways, looking forward to trying it out once things ease off abit. Might even camp outside the house

    Mounting spotlamps on bullbar

, That's good to know mate, definitely should be fine up here lol. To be honest I've turned the car around in the garage to get a good look at the lamps on top. I don't think it looks right lol, definitely fitting to the middle. They're just balanced in the middle in the pic but It looks much...

    Mounting spotlamps on bullbar

Hi folks, Quick question, I was gifted a set of spotties and plan on mounting these onto my AFN bullbar but not sure where. I can mount them in front of the grill if I open up the holes on the bullbar but they will block air flow to the radiator. Or I can mount them on top of the bullbar using...

    Ironman side rails

Cool, looks like the clamps would give me more room for adjustments. Charlie's setup might give some adjustment as well as the clamp assembly looks like it can slide inside the rail tube and is clamped by the vertical bolt. Cheers for the link as well. Very helpful. Jealous of your bonnet...

    Ironman side rails

Thanks guys. I'm tempted to just get them and see how it goes. The connection onto the bullbar looks like a slip joint so there might be some adjustment. If not then I could fabricate longer connectors. Looking at other bullbars I don't see why they wouldn't fit with mine.

    Ironman side rails

Hi folks, anyone know if the Ironman side rails and steps ssr015 are compatible with different manufacturers of bull bars. I have an AFN winch bar but AFN dont seem to make any side rails. Its for a 2015 76 series.

    Ikamper top tents

Went down to see Andy at Ikampers just outside Edinburgh yesterday. Loved the skycamp 2x and it's build quality. So quick to setup as well. He also had one with the textured Matt black coating on the hard shell which looked pretty good but more expensive again. Definitely getting one of these...
