Thanks Chris, so on page 4 it says strongest spring towards front of car. While I’m definitely not questioning this, were you happy this info was from a good source not just “well that was the way I found it”, after all we are talking about the brakes on a heavy and powerful truck.

If you’ve got an import and therefore probably no axle diff locks there would have been a small red on white transfer next to the rear axle filler plug saying ‘LSD’

I’d looked at a pneumatic option and a cable option but I think the standard set up with a made up loom and switching system is the easiest to fit and closest to the factory OEM setup. So far I’m looking at a couple of carling switches, warning lamps and relays.

I don’t think I’m going to try and set it up as the standard Toyota setup, its complicated and would need a lot of hard to source parts. I’m thinking of just a couple of switches and some warning lights. Has anyone done it this way? Also there is 5 or 6 wires into the diff lock actuator, has...

So I’ve got myself a pair of locking axles to go under my import 80 instead of the LSD. I can’t be the first to do this so how has everyone else wired up the lockers?

I’ve swapped out the auto for a manual box and it’s on 33’s. At 80/85mph motorway speeds the rpm’s are too high. I’ve already got a front axle with manual ratio diff, now I’m looking for the rear to match. If I can’t find a manual ratio rear axle I’ll take an auto and swap the ratio to manual...

Ideally a manual as I’m on auto diffs at the moment and rpm’s are too high but I’ll take either and worry about ratios later
