80 Series projector headlamps?

I seem to recall some one looking for some, and I just came across these on Flea bay

personally I think the side light lets them down, but they are projector, is that not what you need for HID to be compliant?

As far as I know, yes. But I still don't know if they're legal in the UK.

I fancy the clear version but why it's £30 more expensive is a mystery.

That was me scratching around and throwing some ideas out. I wonder if these ones are glass.
