Good idea! I'll get the ball rolling. We've just brought a new iKamper - terrible name but an amazing roof tent.

what happened to your rear bumper?

you could rent the tent on airbnb as a treehouse bed-sit...

Nick, that hilift mount, you have some details on that?

Some M10 bolts, washers, nuts and some aluminium tube spacer bar. Pretty much pulled together from my boxes of misc bits.

@Howmanygoes - how old is your little one? Good to see you getting them out camping so young.

Her first trip was at 6weeks.... nightmare.... this picture she was 5months.

@toolsplus yeah mine is Thomas after the tank too. The wife named him. Don’t think the 120 is big enough for Thomas, maybe Tiny Tim is more appropriate,

my 80 puzzles me,it's the same length as my 120,a bit wider and about the same weight
but the wife's Honda Jazz has so much more room inside everywhere
and when i drive the 80 i bounce off the driver's window
it's good job i like the shape...

I always bought new Thule roof racks in my windsurfing days,1980 to 2000

does it matter what roof rack you use for a roof tent?

cheers

I would say one with out a lipp on the edge so it can sit flush

I use thule bars.
Cheap and cheerful.

We used to have an elderly Ghanaian chap doing subbie work for our courier company in his Honda Jazz. It was a bit of a sport among the controllers to see how much we could load him up with, especially knowing his good lady would be forever snoozing in the passenger seat.
