In my youth I had a Packard light 8 ,4door sedan and loved it you could dam near have a dance in it,it was big.
The NZ navy had Fairmile coastal patrol vessels and they had the Packard V12 motors and when they were at speed
were lovely to watch and hear.I don't know if they were Yankee designed boats but believe some were built in NZ.
Kennedy the future president was rescued by one in the Pacific during WW2.After the war some were converted to passenger ferries and the odd one to private pleasure boats by local millionaires.
