Hi all my name is Barry O'Sullivan, a former Toyota mechanic, now working for Irish Rail overhauling loco engines and more recently brake valves!
I have a 1998 Landcruiser series 90 with the 1kz te engine, with well over 460,000 miles on the clock. I am the 2nd owner, the first being my parents...dad got it as a company car.
I use it at the weekends mostly seeing as diesel fuel is getting expensive.
I'll never sell it.

Thanks, I change the oil and filter every 5 000 miles. I grease the prop shaft universal joints at the same time. I also will change air or fuel filters. For example next service I will change fuel filter and the service after the air filter.
One of my grandfather's was a mechanic he said oil and filters are cheap compared to a new engine! The only I have a problem with is the handbrake set up. I can't seem to balance the handbrake. Doesn't seem to hold on a hill it's more the right hand shoes than the left. I will have to have a better look in the new year or when it gets a bit warmer outside!
Welcome Barry, thats an impressive
