The problem with the argument that immigrants are to blame for the UKs ill is that it doesn't stand up to scrutiny http://www.economicshelp.org/blog/6399/economics/impact-of-immigration-on-uk-economy/ my mother & her siblings came to the UK as economic migrants in the 1960 so i am wearily familiar with all the lies & bigotry being spouted.I like most people on here didnt think we would actually get out! We all thought Remain would just win the vote!
But the EU has brought all of this upon its self! I dont think there would have even been a referendum, let alone an out vote had they not continually eroded the rights of UK citizens and pushed ahead with mass, uncontrolled immigration which has put tremendous strain on everything from housing to schooling to house care!
The EU in principle and as it was set up was a great thing and had they not gone on to f*** it up so badly I would have voted to remain!
I'm just so glad the UK jumped ship and isnt going to drown with the rest of them!

I wonder if Merkel can see the huge damage she has done to Europe?

Merkel didnt invite millions of migrants - most of them were refugees fleeing a region that we have helped to destabilise. As for the problems with housing successive uk governments have made house price inflation inevitable - immigrants didnt decide to cut spending on health & education.Living standards for most brits haven't risen in real terms since the 1970s & migrants are a convenient scapegoat.Lies and bigotry?
Many people myself included have seen the absolute f****g mess the likes of Merkel have made of Europe by inviting millions of migrants in!
For many voters who voted to leave they have seen first hand the consequences of mass immigration, where by they can no longer get their kids in to local schools, get a doctors appointment or find reasonably priced housing!
Controlled immigration can be of huge benfit to countries. But uncontrolled free for all mass immigration can be devastating!
I know a lot of people from the far left seem to think that all 17+ million Brits who voted to leave are racist bigots, but I know a lot of people didnt vote leave because of immigration, they voted because they wanted democracy back away from the EU dictatorship and their over regulations and silly laws!![]()
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHthere wont be any negotiations! what has the UK got as a bargaining chip?the threat to leave? Dont you think that say European car manufactures will be rubbing their hands at the prospect of tariffs on British cars ? As for jobs if the cheap labour cant come to the UK the jobs will move to where the cheap labour is.
Scotland can only hold a Referendum if Westminster agrees to it . . .
If Scotland did become independent, and managed to join the EU (with the same conditions that the UK just rejected), it would become an "open back door" to the remainder of the UK unless there was a strictly-enforced border to prevent the free-flow of European (and other) hopefulls into England and Wales.
I can't see Westminster agreeing to that possibility.
But I'm not a Politician.
Bob.

So here is one of the reasons your not in europe anymore. Anyone who disagrees with your view on immigration is a liar and biggot, you missed racist and hate off your little list...The problem with the argument that immigrants are to blame for the UKs ill is that it doesn't stand up to scrutiny http://www.economicshelp.org/blog/6399/economics/impact-of-immigration-on-uk-economy/ my mother & her siblings came to the UK as economic migrants in the 1960 so i am wearily familiar with all the lies & bigotry being spouted.
I'm not so sure about that Pumpy where I live sometimes it's like being in a foreign country.Immigration: Most folks arn't really against immigration, they just use that label.
Dont forget there's a whole group of other countries poised to hold votes to leave the EU. If those at the top in Brussels have any sense at all of what may happen if they continue to handle things wrongly, then we may have a better hand in this poker game than we think.
Youll be ok then clive..
Emotions are high at the moment. This feels a little like a divorce. We were once in love. Things turned sour, we then had years of argument. You kind of get used to the arguing but deep down you know its not good. Then you make the break and split. After the euphoria theres the come down. You feel alone and flat, have i done the right thing? Deep down you know you have. Convidence slowly builds and the new chapter in your life unfolds, new opportunities. A new beginning.
