got a 97 auto with an A442F, Sometimes when slowing down (but not coming to a stop) When going to accelerate again the transmission under speed 20kmph will hold first till around 2500-3000rpm, hard/rough jolt change into 2nd and then change into 3rd at the correct speed.
When it holds first, if I come to a complete stop and go to accelerate again, it'll change gears normally.
Even when the trans doesn't hold first for too long, the shift into second will be a bit rough. This pretty much only happens when at operating temp, but the holding first gear thing is usually when below operating temp.
