HJ47 N/S/R Indicator not working.

I have checked the bulb, checked the earth continuity
when I checked the muti plug on the supply to the lamp I keep getting different readings.
(no not off on!) it would range from an occasional 12v to a regular 3 or 4v then up around 9v.
I chased it through to a muliplug at the front and checked the supply side and got the same results.
I have found the flasher unit which has 2 wires going into it.
The indicator does not work on hazard, all the others work fine.
It has been working but it knows its MOT time!
Any suggestions? I have reached the end of my electrial knowledge.
Thanks
John

Usually electrical issues become more complicated and we cannot fix it. If you do not have enough knowledge so bring your vehicle to any good electrical mechanic or car care center.

sounds like a wiring problem to me. Sometimes some of these electrical connections are so finnicky that some slight movement are change in humidity may cause it to work. It's gonna be a hard one to diagnose. Do you know of any crash damage to the side of the blinker that is not working?
