Problem is that its not registered for the road as it is a race vehicle. So driving it here "on holiday" doesn't work. More over, trying to register a race truck in France, and then having to re register it will be a nightmare. I've looked into that already.
The trade plates I've considered too, I even have my own set of trade plates now. However, it has to be road worthy first, with a current valid AVT, and insured. The trade plates only cover the for the truck having no tax.
VOSA are all over the ports on entry and this truck will definitely be pulled for inspection as soon as it lands. (directly from VOSA head of enforcement at Dover)
It is undergoing a voluntary CT test in France today, so at least I'll have a European equivalent. If the only solution is low-load it here, then that's what I'll have to do.I've overcome bigger hurdles than this, so no real sweat.
Any Class 1 HGV drivers on here? I only have class 2
