can someone tell me what the little white thing is, that hangs off the airbox?
I've circled it in the attached picture, the little pipe for the bottom hose is snapped so ill need to replace mine.. just trying to figure out what to search for...

By the way that is connected Lockie, I'd say that's a differential pressure switch. It's looking at how much the air filter is blocked and would I imagine bring up a light on the dash, so must be an option for very dusty countries. I don't have one on mine but that's what it will be. Have a look on www.amayama.com and put your model number into their parts search. It should come up under 'engine' or something.

ohh and while I'm on here I way as well tell everyone about my new toy!
my redarc gauge came this afternoon!!
I've started fitting/wiring it (key word being started and not finished)
word of warning to anyone who intends to buy one, you don't need to buy the lighting control (AKA dimmer) if your car already has a dimmer for the dash.... so don't make the same mistake I did and buy it just in case....
but in writing this I just thought of another question!
what is the standard/safe running temperature i should be aiming for? and at what point should i set my alarm at?

I've done over 2500kms in the big girl now, it's running like a dream!
I think the new exhaust helps, and now I've got the boost and EGT gauge in now, it's nice watching how it runs.
taken it on two 4wd trips also (only about 150kms each)
