I have read quite a few threads on this subject but nothing with this exact problem that I could find. Passenger side rear blinker in blinking fast and I have nothing in the front. I have an ARB bumper with the lights wired. I have had zero problems with those bumper blinkers for the 8 years that I have owner it, so that isn't the problem. With the Hazards on I get the normal speed blink but still nothing in the front. Fuses are all good. Socket in the front is dead. No voltage. All wiring in the back oof the rig on top of the spare looks perfect and undamaged. No LED bulbs anywhere.

This seems like a relay issue to me, but I can't find the relay. Looks like there is a RH and LH signal relay. I that correct?

My LC is a 93 base model RHD.

Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

I could be and very probably am wrong but I vaguely remember the dearly departed Chris who was rarely stumped by anything Cruiser related having a problem that might have been blinkers and I found and posted a vid on the forum somehow relating it to the rear light cluster ????????

As an aside when any electrical mysteries appear in a Cruiser its always worth looking inside your tow socket for corrosion .

I read threads on LEDs change outs in the Dash causing problems with the blinkers, but nothing like my issue.

Is the video still available?

The tow socket is an interesting deal on this cruiser. It's a 4 flat marked OEM Toyota that comes directly out of the right tail light. None of the wires were damaged and look is like new condition. I thought it was odd that these four wires molded together would come from a taillight from the manufacture and not plugged into the harness. Is this actually the way Toyota did their simple trailer wiring?

I will snap some pictures of what I have and run some tests on that plug. I may tear into the taillight as well if I get the time before reposting.

Vid was posted years ago so who knows .

Thinking about it though check all the rear bulb sockets for corrosion or damage , again clouded memory but there is a known if rare issue of sockets shorting out for no obvious reason .

If the tow socket is original and not corroded inside after 31 years I'd be astonished .

Apologies! Please see attached pictures. No tests performed yet, I had to go earn a living today.... But I did get some pictures on the way out the door.

The trailer plug does NOT go into the right taillight. It goes into the body and to hell and gone from there. :tearsofjoy:
