    Overlander!!

By the way, it seems the Swiss do not like loud vehicles and is making it almost imposssible to import this cruiser. I am moving to La Cote de Lac Leman (Morges) in a few weeks and need to let this go. So if you're up for a bargain, I'm the one to exploit at this stage.

    Headlights switch UK to Europe

Interesting Shayne, I am bound to screw that up though. I tend to be the sucker who buys the part and let pro's fit them. I have 10 thumbs when it comes to these things. Thanks Stumog, so basically buy the full LHD light sets and fit them?

    Headlights switch UK to Europe

Thanks yogi, so just to confirm, I'll need to fit the LHD lights AND adjust the beams, not just ajust the beams?

    Headlights switch UK to Europe

Yes, I saw these, the question then is would I be able to fit these L/H drive lights on a R/H drive vehicle to ensure the beams are pointed in the right direction? Or is this there something simpler, like just asking a garage to tweak the beam direction? Cheers!

    Headlights switch UK to Europe

Hi All, Having completed my trans-African adventure and the '94 LC coming through like a champ, I now need to import the UK reg right hand drive to France, where I live. (Unless I, very sadly, sell it to a UK buyer) In order to pass the French CT (UK MOT equivalent) I need to convert the...

Air con for 80 series required

We ended up managing just fine without it. (Even in the desert as you said Langy). Heater worked fine when it was cold, so I) cant see myself really needing an aircon in Europe if I managed without through Africa. Before I left I was told I will be looking at at least 2.5k to custom fit and...

    Overlander!!

Exactly Wobbly... I've seen worse trucks going for more, without the added overlanding equipment. Refer to my post below (or above;)

    Overlander!!

Interesting to come across this thread! This is my truck, so after reading a few comments I felt compelled to reply, so here goes.. Raised bonnet: Bought it like this, its on pretty solid spacers, apparenty for airflow. Never had any issues. Could easily be removed though. Thanks Rollence...

High pitch squeaking squealing sound from 80 series

I think thats it Rich - cheap pads fitted without anti squeal backing pads or copper grease squeal when going slowly. Fitted new pads, all gone.

Which battery and other fun electrical issues (diesel 80 series)

It turns out a couple of cells were apparently shot. We got tired of trying fixes and just invested in two new batteries and that solved the trick. It was more expensive, but worked. Been a few months now and no problems yet.

Which battery and other fun electrical issues (diesel 80 series)

Hi all, which battery will you recommend for a a 1994 diesel 4.2l 80 series? Need to replace both. Context: Car not starting after being switched off for a period of time,eg. overnight. (Seems like the batteries charge when driving - had the alternator and starter checked out, but apparently...

High pitch squeaking squealing sound from 80 series

Hi all, I have a 1994 land cruiser 4.2TD and have recently developed a high pitch squealing/scraping/squeaking noise at low speeds, its driving me crazy. At first it seemed to come from the front drivers wheel, but now I hear it on the passenger side too. Could be front or back, hard to pin...

Air con for 80 series required

Hi All, just acquired an awesome 80 series for an overland trip. No air con though. Since I'll go through all 4 seasons, it may be a welcome addition. Any ideas if its possible to fit an air con and the rough cost? Can anyone point me in the direction of anyone able to provide a kit second hand...
