Hairyguy4: I love the plate in your picture (on the screen), where did you get it....
 I spotted that too but can't quite make out the trademark from here...

Re: attacking the dreaded rust bug

I bought my plate from Sureparts in Redditch.

They have a web site so just google.

Sorry for the delay, been in Norway.

one big job soon is hopefully get a new transfer box + gearbox or fit some new bearings in the transfer as there is major play in the outputs, has anyone got a guide on how to do them?

Looking good.

Me and Roger replaced the output bearing(s) in my transfercase.

Will be pics some where in my build thread.

found it, have to admit i'm tempted to buy a second hand box and fit that, the cruisers a daily drive so can't have it off the road too long

Did you not get that one from Johnie?

I dont think youd struggle sourcing an LJ70 box, but there is not many/any KZJ70's being broken.

I wonder what would happen if you fitted an LJ70 box?

Would the gearing make it un-drivable?

no didn't get that one, have messaged him though to see if it's still for sale, the lj70 box has a lower 1st and 2nd so would be better offroad but not sure how it would affect on road driving

Finally put the new gearbox in several years later, runs much better now

I need to convert the rear of mine like yours! :icon-twisted:

To embed a youbube video............

You need to write your post in the Go Advanced posting option so you have the youtube icon above the txt box.

On youtube click Share below the video and copy and paste the txt into the text box where your writing your post, like this:

You then need to delete this section:

Then highlight whats left and then click the youtube icon and it turns your link into this:

""

Hopefully that all makes sense. :icon-biggrin:

Took the arches off for good, looks much better imo

Bit of work on the cruiser today, decided I wanted a better approach angle and to do that I had to redo the winch mount so might as well change the lot, had bought a bumper from mtm in kit form for my 80 but sold it before building so decided to fit to the 70

Still need to fit the diagonals from bumper down to chassis rails, cap the bumper brackets, fit winch mount (will be flush with the bumper mounts and on top of the chassis rails) and fit some kind of spot light mount
