hairyguy's kzj70 build

Got them on eBay, unfortunately I can't fit them, as I get so much articulation on the back end they will rub on The chassis and inner arch :( so they're back on ebay

Fronts definitely moving better with the new set up, thinking about putting the longer shocks on now

Looks great!

I'm just in the process of lowering mine a bit as it was sitting far too high! I've just fitted +60mm Dobinsons coils on the back and will be doing the front next.

I've been thinking about 3 linking my rear like you have and my only concern is that the trailing arm brackets on the axle are obviously designed to be bolted to the trailing arm in 2 places and will the brackets hold up to just being bolted in one place.

I'm guessing you havent had any problems?

But if I do another big trip like my Simpson Desert one will they hold up to thousands of k's of corrugations.

The corrugations are so hard on vehicles, cracked chassis's arnt uncommon.

I reckon they are under less stress as they don't have to deal with stopping the axle from rotating now, I've had no problems at all

Went to slab common with a few mates, the hilux is 4 link rear with fedima 37s and twin arbs, the four track is 3 link a frame rear with insa turbos and welded rear diff

Tyre porn!!!!!!!!

Took a gamble on these relatively unheard of tyres, they are lakesea xterains, they are 35 10.50 16 and measure 34.5" tall with 18mm tread depth

Tall & skinny category, they should do nicely in the soft and smelly stuff!

It's a vicious looking tread pattern, I recon you could plough a field with them

Door cills are solid apart from the rear where the arches used to overlap and trap mud so rather than just replace the little bit I did box section cills/sliders, also welded up the wheel arch flare holes and set fire to the interior lol
