Are you bringing your 80 next time or co-driving?
 Or my hundred???

I'll have get my brownie point system balanced up before the next mishun Jay Dubbleyuh & of course it will depend on your 'no.1' co-pilot's availabilty too... It shouldn't come to a fist fight between me & Ray but...

How's the cam-cording going BTW? Have you got a budding 'Quentin Tarantino' in the offing???

Aha, the first pics 8-)

The stunning scenery is almost endless so make sure you have a big memory card for your camera :)

Seems to have ticked the box's

thats more like it! some great pics so far! cant wait to get there now!
the scale of those mountains is fantastic and great to see the 'cruisers
i drained and refilled coolant and topped-up viscous fan clutch a few weeks ago - fan kicks in earlier now than it used to, so dragging more air through,
will take netbook to download photos onto to empty camera!

That was Sunday and some extra tracks we'd tagged on to the original plan. On Monday we set out for another mountain but as we climbed to about 2000m the clouds came down to meet us and not long after we were driving in a white out as we climbed to the summit so we didn't get to see the view from the top

First sign of the mountains in the distance when we left our French camp site on Sunday morning

That was a good result of my first [strike:3njumi7m]navigational goof[/strike:3njumi7m] bit of serious navigating - it was awesome driving up over that crest in the road to that sight... There was a farmer cutting his [strike:3njumi7m]hay[/strike:3njumi7m] [strike:3njumi7m]hey[/strike:3njumi7m] long grass over to one side of us with a number of large birds of prey (probably vultures!!!) circling to pounce on all the creatures he disturbed in the process 8-)

We did see the sun again and I believe there are wild mushrooms here?

Its a good job you had those washable seat covers on

That was a reet hoot - most excillerating & 'girliegiggle' inducing!!! Wish we'd had the dash mounted cam-corder for that bit!!!

:shhh: Porcini anyone??

Hi jon Gav

Nice pics and words I will be there Monday 20th for 2 weeks cant wait now.

Did you do RB1 and RB3 ?

Mal

We did a bit of RB1 mixed with a bit of RB3 and a bit I made up, most of RB2 and a few extra goes round some of the roundabouts Mal

Hey Mal, glad you are enjoying the show so far 8-)

Jon will be able to confirm the RB we used - I'm afraid I was only navigating & have no idea which one I had in my grubby little paws...

You'll have a hoot - have you got a seat going spare???

Cheers

EDIT: Pipped by JW again - I'm never going to hear the end of those feckin' roundabouts...

Looks great. Do you ever meet people coming the other way? If so, biggest truck wins or passing places?

There was a splashy section we were tempted to call the spanish Strata Florida and I think that was the first track we saw traffic on but they were pulled over cooking something that smelled very nice!

We didn't see much traffic but the little we encountered we used passing places.

Never got bored of looking at the views

Late Monday afternoon we were climbing again to cross into Andorra, another climb that goes on and on

IMG_2059.JPG

We spent Monday night at Camping Valira in Andorra which is pretty close to the city centre so it's not a quiet site but I don't think it kept anyone awake?

IMG_2061.JPG

But in the morning we woke up to see / hear a helicopter moving workmen around on this rock face where they were securing a wire net to stop rock falls

Did you see what the wire was for ??

looks a great trip out .. some breathtaking scenery there
