I'll bring 3 packs of boerewors (approx. 0.5kg each) - is that enough? And some rolls, sauces etc.

Crispin and Tony - I take it you'll supply something to cook on (skottle)?

Aparently that is one thing that could be in very short supply cos of this cold weather... Its so cold, they are freezing solid & can't be harvested!!!

The day the cows freeze solid I'll panic. While there are still steaks, I'm happy. :D
That green stuff, aka rabbit food, can freeze. Don't mind

A big juicy steak that still says Moooo................Ahh!! heaven :D

'And how would sir like his steak served?'

'Leave its horns on & wipe its @rse!!!'

You never quite know with the plain, it will be very cold, i'm sure of that and the only concern may be layers of ice on the big puddles but these will be sign posted by a broken down land rover

Seriously though, the route for the newbies wont be too bad and there are places to get around if needed. The second route i had in mind is a little more challenging but thats more from a layer of mud and ruts rather than anything extreme.

Kiwi hill is a must BTW. Nice bits to play up there.

Ah yes, can someone send the location so i can mark it on the map please?

Also, was there a dispute if it is on a right of way?

I'll find it on my satnav and send. It's at the large shooting range, I forget the "town" name. Think Tommo knows it.

Kiwi hill is fine. When I spoke to the wardens a while about about it they said it's all good. On the way up and the tracks along the top. "Nothing off the obvious main tracks"

edit:
Bulford Barracks is the area, it's off the main road. Will find the address later.

I remember a certain 120 sliding all over on wet grass at the top of Kiwi Hill
Now, who was that I wonder
