Heading to Brittany for a few weeks camping and noisying around (may look at some older farmhouse properties) at start of Oct
Coming across Rosslare to Fishguard, visit some friends and then down to London and across the channel (ferry - as have LPG)
Any touristy places to see, some (remote)...
Just managed a 3 hr return trip from camping (Co. Kerry) with soft pedal (had bled all 5 points overnight and kept thinking it may be a bad master brake cylinder) and at end of trip noticed a leak near PS/FR with line towards caliper.
Not sure why as its an extended brake hose recently (last...
I'm looking at getting in (via some expats that are returning back to the old sod and piggyback off their container for household goods) either a Manta or a Pacemaker system, including manifold/headers all the way back. Only issue appears down under they don't have dual cats and will need to get...
I spent several weeks doing under chassis mechanic aerobics, derusting, painting and rust proofing on my 97 80 series during Covid period last summer. Glad to see I only had about 5% rust and mostly all just surface related and some elbow grease resolved that. Happy it should all be good for...
Mexico is great and fantastic food (even if I'm a meat-n-potatoes guy). Found most of C.America too hot and sticky and ending up on the coast which is great. S America is just wonderful with lots of open spaces and scenery.
Spotted an Aussie like 80 driving towards Galway, West of Ireland the other day. In my suburban Corolla and not my 80 so not able to chase!
Had twin rows of seats and custom cab at back. Similar to twin cab 80 series
Any ideas of who?
I've the plastic tabs (like Chris indicated) ready to be replaced on mine. I cleared up my drains etc. and also added extra sealant to the plastic but to no avail. Still leaked. For last year I've just tapped up my sunroof so water can't get in. Waiting for dry day in the mood to take down the...
Richard, hows is your LPG running and the Flashlube?
I'm considering installing a Flashtube as no 'additive' for last 4 years and running LPG more now.
Any way to gauge when needed?
Thanks
I use ChapelGate, 80breakers, PartSouq, Amayama and some US dealers for parts.
Best if you can get outa Aussie (especially if you can get w/o VAT, import taxes)
couldn't get mine seperated with needle and didn't want to force. Will look to try again at some stage but will pickup a donated Camry or Corolla piece (on the basis one of those trip meters may work
I've an idler pulley to replace, likely this week and will see (once get my dash all back together - due to aerial coax that ain't pulling thru with radio aetenna needing replacing) if thats my issue or if need to did into A/C compressor
looks great, Mike. Awaiting the inside adventure.
Whats the top dimensions (ground to top of roof when closed; front of truck bumper to rear and side to side)
Disagreement on locktite is that Toyota doesn't mention it, but then doesn't mention this part anyways as replacement so no torque specs. Diehards no locktite, others use it just in case
On the grease, maybe leakage on oil. Will need to check later
Did 4 hour easy drive on Sat and felt very slight tremor on right turns. No other issues. Thought maybe front bearing on front right was loose again and maybe need to tighten up (had to tighten 5k ir 2 months ago and don't do a lot of driving, no offroad atm)
Was due an oil change and some other...

Heres some pictures from camping in Donegal with Jessica/Jorge https://liveworkwander.com/
I was going to pull the Buy button on a unit on a slow ship from China at $50. If it didn't work could have it as a small foot stool
Seems every variation under the sun out there.
Lets us know how your works out
was great to see the machine and cabin "in the flesh" the other week. More than eager to see how you progress ; as next in line : )
Like the roof gauge and having cupboard/shelf space there is definitely on my list. Only seen a very small number of folks doing any mods to get a shelf (other...
