Holes at bottom of doors are clear.
Definitely just bottom of doors and not coming in on main floor but know what you mean in relation to roof overflows.
Having difficulty trying to find right type of plastic to replace it with
Suffering with water on interior lower carpet material on the bottom inside of both middle doors after lots of rain
I've changed the outside bellhousing (if thats the name) plastic trim and that helped a little
I've opened up the doors and can't figure out where the water is getting in.

I've an electric "leak" that will drain my main starting battery in 4 days. Will drop from 12.7v to 11.85v with all doors closed, no alarm system
Have tried tracing 'usage' across main fusebox without any real answer.
Any ideas on how to diagnose further?

Meet Live Work Wander USA guys in Ireland in their borrowed TLC 200 Mantec conversion. Very nice. Will post some pics once sync with mobile.
They are getting their TLC 79 (with poptop) moved over to an 80 chassis and upgraded with some more Mantec goodies
Richard
The only ones I've seen that have been successful have been Progressive Insurance in the USA. Best to check the Overlanding America facebook forum.
Not sure that works for Canada and may need another solution there
went there as well and lots of eye-candy. Toms is the best quality by far buy mucho monies. Several other vendors as well. Can send some links/photos
At the show its better to spend more time in the campgrounds looking at all the real rigs and seeing who has done what, what works etc.
its on my list in near future. Doing R&D and talking with some that have travelled with poptop and next steps (more expansion, bigger body and replacement back)
Interested in Bat21 build as well. Looking to meet Renago in Milan during Sept (on trip Ireland->France->Crotia and back) as he is on...
Mine looking kinda similiar. Just a lot of TLC cleaning it up. Went back together ok. Didn't need any sealant. Overall main black rubber seal was in good shape

Thats funnt regarding swap. Lots of nice memories on trips to NM. I lived in Colorado for several years and drove around USA quite a bit. You'll not have any of the local (UK/IRL) "rust" as you're in the dry climate so be grateful for bolts not seizing/breaking when you're working on the truck :(
Welcome. Nice truck. Had a short few days in St. Petersburg in Nov last year (as part of trip around the Nordics) and was lovely. Will be visiting Russia and Stans on a larger upcoming trip in next few years
Welcome to group
Lived in Longmont for several years; lots of great trails and clubs/groups/expertise around
Had a 1990 4Runner for a few years and great trucks. Running 97 FZJ80 from Colorado - now back in Ireland after PanAm trip few years back. Did Nordics end of last year and just back from...
Michael, looks great. Lov to come see it at some stage. Can you send me some more pics via email [email protected] as hard to see/zoom in on them
Best of luck on trip. In Spain right now just coming back from Morocco trip
Went with ODM from RoughTrax (I think - maybe Milners) and got it all finished before trip to Morocco. About 2000K miles on it so far and mostly highway with some offroad but no issues so far.
Went last year and well worth going. IF going again I'd spend more time going around meeting folks in their trucks at the camp ground - some interesting rigs/options and stories
not in any rush ; just more interested in the choices and for those that have tried differing manfs
Would consider swapping but if going to that level of effort might as well replace
thanks for input
Have Birfs I need to change out as clicking on turns
See several options availailble (OEM, RCV, Longfields, Milners, Hdn- Chinese?)
Anyone got practical options
Thanks
was there in Oct and very nice. Had some heavy rain (felt like home !). Had issue with alternator that managed to fix myself but wasn't much "help" (plenty of forum helpers) availability locally for an 80. Getting parts in were VERY expensive so ensure you're truck is in good mechanical...
Another option is to bring your petrol FZJ80 and get it LPG converted. I've brought 3 trucks from USA over here and all converted onto LPG which is approx 40-50% at the pump (conversion price approx 1200).
