its called a plunger. you look where two rubber hoses leave the top part of the tank and head towards the front of the car. basically the engine fuel supply line.
I don't think the big rubber hose must be changed unless its necessary, otherwise you end up replacing the whole car.
check that plunger now. and replace if needed.
then, put a small transparent hose , first between fuel filter and fuel tank. check if you see air. if not, fine.
then shift that small transparent hose forward from filter. i.e. between fuel filter and injection pump. and leave it there.
that will be your feed back if you get air in the fuel lines.
I do get a bit air from fuel filter housing, but its just a bit and I left it run like this, until I find a better fuel filter housing.
