What a nightmare this has been, but truly, it’s coming together now, very nicely.

:clap::clap: A round of applause to your welder / paint guy Bund...

Cheers Clive, they have done well, the painter can’t wait to get shod of it though , it’s been in or around his since I bought it and I have my mate to thank for actually organising it all.

:text-+1: On the bodyworks, that’s second to none. This is going to be so worth it in the long run and I’m glad you kept it original colour. At least if you decide to sell it Shayne would probably have it for the simple reason it’s black.

It will look good mate, I certainly was naive about it’s true condition when I bought it.

It’s been expensive lesson, I actually wanted a good 80’s series but bought this as thought it was a good looking and fair value LC..... lol

how long has this been going on! To be fair the guys have worked hard.

Going to try a few people tomorrow/Monday for the rubbers for the ends of the rear bumpers. If anyone knows of a set going please let me know.

Cheers SC, a couple of oil weeps to fix once all the body work and interior is good but car will be useable.

In for a penny! :)

It will be superb when finished, just dont make the mistake of adding it all up.:eusa-naughty:

:/ Some of the numbers just won’t leave my mind. :)

I say to my future wife that it’s a car for life as I won’t want to get out of it for a loss unless I have no other choice.

I’d like to put the 1KZ in it at some point if it’s a keeper, always wanted the right 80 but i imagine this will be one of the nicest 70’s in the uk when done(bodywise at least) and I’ll keep an eye out for interior/mechanical bits as we go along.

Oh, man !

This will be sweet when finished...:clap::clap:
Cheers man, I’m thinking about changing the springs over to some closer to stock height. It sits so high at the moment and unnecessary for my use but I can wait.

Just Bonnet and scuttle left, then interior can go back in and my mate is fitting a new headliner as old one was for the sunroof.

Then a few leaks and weeping seals that need addressing.

This nightmare might be almost over!!! Mate reckons end of week but that could end up being two.

No worries though, I’m lining up another nightmare possibly starting tomorrow morning but in the shape of a run down Merc 560 SEC.
